PARENT ATTITUDE QUESTIONNAIRE RESPONSE.
‘Use of electronic payment methods for lunches and trips, e.g. use of parent pay’
This is something that we have already looked into as a school. As you will be aware, we moved our text messaging service across to Parent Mail last year and now that parents have signed up to this we will be moving to using it for sending out newsletters next year. Mrs. Vost will be trialling this with one class in the Summer term to ensure that it works successfully before rolling it out across the whole school in the new academic year.
Once this form of electronic communication is in place we will be looking to implement electronic payments. This is likely to be in the academic year 2016/17 as we will need to ensure that all the systems are in place for this to run smoothly.
All the children that applied have got a place however we still have four places left if anyone is interested. Please contact Mrs Vost to add your child to the list.
Y6 BOREATTON PARK
The next payment of £60 is due by Friday 27th February for the Year 6 children who are going to Boreatton Park in June. Please make cheques payable to LCC.
PTFA VALENTINE’S DISCO – FRIDAY 13TH FEBRUARY
Infants: 6.30 – 7.15 p.m. Juniors: 7.30 – 8.15 p.m
Please enter via the school office and pick up your child outside the fire doors leading from the hall. The cost is £2.00 (includes 1 snack, crisps or sweets, and 1 drink). Additional drinks are 20p, additional crisps/sweets are 30p. This is a ticket only event. All tickets that have already been paid for should be in your child’s bag tonight. Please send in an envelope to your child’s class teacher clearly labelled with your child’s name and class.
BEFORE THE SCHOOL DAY
For Health & Safety reasons please can we ask all parents / carers to ensure their child waits outside the classroom or in the playground area supervised before the school day commences and not run around the football field or in the bark area. Many thanks for your support!
It has been noticed that some pupils have been wearing black boots as part of their school uniform instead of black shoes. In line with our school uniform policy, I would like to see all pupils wearing black shoes after the February half term holiday. If your child requires boots for any medical reason then please ensure that their teacher or Mrs Vost is informed.
Thank you to everyone who came along and took part in this event on Friday. We all had a great time and managed to raise over £300 towards PTFA funds. Please can all sponsor forms and money be brought into school by Friday 27th February.

Our football team put a tremendous effort into their match against Christ Church, Charnock Richard despite losing 6-0. Better luck next time!
On Thursday 5th February our Hi Fives team represented Primrose Hill at Holy Cross High School. Our team played well with a determined attitude to the game. The team worked together giving it there all even though they lost the first match the team wasn’t going to give up, and in style they drew 2-2 against Brinscall St Johns. The children that represented the school were Lucy, our Captain, Katie, Isabel and Sophie from Year 6 and Curtis and Isaac from Year 5.
Thank you to team who wrote this article. Well Done!
