100% ATTENDANCE LAST WEEK
YEAR 6 – EXCELLENT!
CELEBRATION ASSEMBLY ON FRIDAY 17TH OCTOBER 2014
PARENT ATTITUDE QUESTIONNAIRE RESPONSE
‘We would like to see more clubs being offered, particularly for Key Stage One pupils’.
‘Provide more free after school clubs rather than expensive ‘company run’ ones.’
As a school we offer a wide range of after school activities and all staff willingly run clubs throughout the year. This term clubs have included football, high fives, eco, fitness fun, computers, band, choir, change for life, sewing, mad science, recorders, wild things outdoors as well as participation in numerous sporting competitions. Staff have many other commitments such as staff meetings, subject leader time and CPD meetings during the week which means that they cannot run clubs on more than one night per week. Where we feel that we cannot provide clubs due to these reasons, or that we do not have the staff expertise in school, then we seek to use outside agencies. Unfortunately this does mean that there is a charge to attend these clubs as this involves using an external provider who run their activities for profit.
This year we are trying to provide more clubs to a wider range of pupil, particularly those in KS1. We have introduced new clubs such as wild things outdoors, change for life, fitness fun club and football development and we will ensure that there will be many more to come throughout the year.
