PTFA FILM NIGHT – FRIDAY 26TH SEPTEMBER
Our Film Night is taking place this Friday 26th September at 6.30 p.m. The film being shown is Muppets Most Wanted. We hope that you will be able to join us.
HARVEST ASSEMBLY – TUESDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER
The Harvest assembly is taking place on Tuesday 30th September between 11.00 – 11.30 a.m. and will be led by pupils in Year 2 and 6. Parents of these classes are welcome to attend.
We are collecting food for Chorley Help the Homeless. Please could you help us support this worthwhile cause by bringing in packets and tins of food with a good shelf life! These can be brought into school from Monday 29th September.
The car park at the front of the school is for use by staff only. Parents must not use this facility at any time – this includes dropping off/picking up children for breakfast and after school club. Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Mad Science starts on Monday 6th October from 3.00p.m. – 4.00 p.m. in Classes 5 and 6. Please pick up your child from outside these classrooms unless they are going to After School Club afterwards.
Tempest Photography will be in school all morning on Friday 3rd October to take individual and family photographs. If you would like your child to have a photograph taken with a pre-school child then please bring them along before school starts at 8.15am. Thanks!
HOUSE POINT WINNERS – YELLOW TEAM
Congratulations to all pupils in the yellow team who achieved the most points last term. As a reward these pupils may attend school in their own clothes on Friday 26th September.
CAULIFLOWER CARDS CHRISTMAS CARD PROJECT
Completed designs and order forms will be sent home with your child on Monday 6th October. All money and completed order forms must be returned to the child’s class teacher by Friday 10th October. Cheques should be made payable to ‘LCC’. Class teachers will send all cheques in a big envelope to the school office. All funds raised will go towards the Euxton Primrose Hill PTFA Funds. Many thanks in anticipation of your support!
As a healthy school we are constantly trying to educate pupils on making healthy lifestyle choices. In relation to break time, snacks should consist of toast, fruit, cereal bars (without nuts/chocolate) or yoghurt shoots. Please support school in trying to establish healthy lifestyle choices.
DATA COLLECTION FORM AND MEDICAL / EDUCATIONAL VISIT FORM
Please can both forms returned to school by Friday 26th September so that our records can be updated. It is vital that we know about any allergies/illnesses as soon as possible. Many Thanks!
Your child has brought home a Parental Questionnaire in their bag tonight to provide feedback about our school. We would really appreciate it if you could complete and return it to school by Wednesday 1st October. Thanks!
WILD THINGS OUTDOORS
All pupils in KS1 who have applied for Wild Things Outdoors have secured a place. The first session starts on Thursday 25th September from 3.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m. Please send in appropriate clothing and footwear for your child. Your child can be picked up from the Den at 4.00p.m.
The school has received a voucher for a free term of drama classes at Helen O’Grady Drama Academy worth £120. The voucher must be redeemed this term. If you would like your child to be entered into a draw to win the voucher please write down their name and class along with ‘Drama Voucher’ on an envelope and hand it in to the school office. One name will be drawn at random during our celebration assembly on Friday 26th September.
There will be four non-uniform days in school this term to help support the PTFA in getting ready for the Christmas Fair to be held on Friday 28th November from 6.30p.m. – 8.30p.m.
Thursday 13th November – In thanks for a mystery parcel and wrapping paper. Pupils to bring a gift appropriate for same age and sex as themselves please.Tuesday 21st October – In thanks for a bottle of wine for the bottle stall – adults to bring bottles of wine to the office not pupils.
Thursday 20th November – In thanks for a tombola prize.
Wednesday 26th November – In thanks for a chocolate donation.
A purple TOG24 waterproof jacket, age 5/6, has been lost in Year 1. Please can you check at home to see if your child has accidentally brought it home by mistake. If the jacket is found please can it be returned to the school office. Many Thanks.

Congratulations to Aimee, Josh, Ryan and Aidan for supporting our school this week by taking part in the Chorley Duathlon on Saturday 20th September.
Children seem to enjoy the social life the Walking Bus offers each morning.
A member of staff will arrive at the Spar at approximately 8.25am and leave promptly at 8.30am for school, with no stopping en-route to pick up additional children. Please see Mr Caunce for more information.
We are still collecting Batteries and Clothing, Bedding etc. for the clothes bank at the rear of the school. Your support is really appreciated!
