Today the children from year five visited Euxton library as part of our literacy topic on persuasive writing. As a school we are keen to back the local campaign to save Euxton library and this was the perfect opportunity for the children to look at the facilities available and speak to some important people about the campaign. We talked to the librarians about the facilities available at the library for the local community and we had the chance to speak to Mr Gee and Mr Clewlow about the reasons why it is such an important issue to get involved in. In class we have been designing some persuasive posters and over the coming weeks we shall be writing some letters to the local community and local councillors to voice our concerns. Keep a look out for more information to follow on this subject and how you can help the local community save this valuable resource.
