Welcome
Our Governing Board plays an important role in the life of Euxton Primrose Hill Primary School.
Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, governors help shape the strategic direction of the school, support continuous improvement and ensure that every decision is made in the best interests of our pupils.
Governors bring a wide range of professional skills, knowledge and experience, providing both support and constructive challenge as we strive to deliver the highest standards of education for every child.
What do Governors do?
Governors do not manage the day-to-day running of the school. Instead, they work strategically to:
- Set the school's vision and long-term direction.
- Support and challenge school leaders to secure the best possible outcomes for pupils.
- Monitor educational standards and pupil achievement.
- Ensure the school's finances are managed responsibly.
- Make sure statutory responsibilities, including safeguarding, are fulfilled.
How our Governing Board works
Our Governing Board meets regularly throughout the academic year as a full governing board and through dedicated committees, including:
- Finance and Resources
- Curriculum and Standards
Governors also visit school regularly to meet pupils and staff, observe learning and gain a first-hand understanding of school life. This helps ensure they make informed decisions that support the continued success of Primrose Hill.
