SEND - Special Educational Needs & Disabilities

Every child. Every opportunity.
At Euxton Primrose Hill, we believe that every child is unique and deserves to feel valued, included and supported to achieve their very best.
We recognise that children may need additional support at different points in their school journey. Our aim is to identify children's individual strengths and needs and provide the right support to help them learn, grow and thrive.
We have high expectations for every child and believe that having additional needs should never be a barrier to achieving success.
Supporting Every Child
Our SEND provision is built around understanding each child as an individual.
We work closely with children and their families to identify strengths, understand areas where additional support may be needed and put appropriate strategies in place.
Support may include:
- additional support within the classroom
- targeted interventions
- adaptations to learning or the environment
- support from our SEND team
- specialist advice and support from external professionals where appropriate.
Children remain part of their own class and are fully included in school life. Where additional support is needed, this may sometimes take place individually, in a small group or in another area of school.
Working Together with Families
We believe that parents and carers know their children best, and strong relationships between home and school are an important part of supporting children with SEND.
We will work with you to understand your child's needs, celebrate their progress and identify ways in which we can support them.
If you have concerns about your child's learning, development or wellbeing, your first point of contact should be your child's class teacher. You can also speak to our SENDCo if you would like to discuss your concerns further.

What we want for every child
We want our children to:
Feel included
Feel that they belong and are valued as part of our school community.
Discover their strengths
Develop their skills, talents and interests.
Make progress
Receive the support they need to achieve their potential.
Grow in confidence
Develop independence, resilience and self-belief.
Accessibility & Inclusion
We are committed to ensuring that our school is accessible and inclusive for pupils, families and visitors with disabilities.
Following the expansion of our school, we have two main buildings connected by steps and a link corridor. A lift provides access between the buildings for pupils who are unable to use the steps, and ramp access is available at the front of school.
We also have facilities and equipment to support individual needs, including accessible toilets, showering facilities, specialist furniture and a range of assistive equipment.
Our accessibility arrangements are regularly reviewed to ensure that we continue to remove barriers and support full participation in school life.
SEND Information
Parents can find further information about how we support children with SEND in our SEND Information Report and related policies.
