Children’s University Launches with a Stella start!

We were delighted to join hundreds of children from across Lancashire for the first Children’s University session of the year.

This year’s opening event explored the fascinating science theme “Living with a Star”, led by Professor Robert Walsh. Through a fantastic combination of engaging presentations, videos and images, the session brought complex scientific ideas to life and captured the imagination of everyone in attendance.

The children learned all about our closest star, the Sun, and gained a wealth of interesting information about its impact on life here on Earth. The visual content and demonstrations helped make the learning experience both accessible and memorable.

As part of their Children’s University journey, all attendees will have their learning credits added to their passports. These credits contribute towards the certificates and awards celebrated at the end of the academic year, recognising their commitment to learning beyond the classroom.

A brilliant start to the year and we look forward to seeing what our young learners discover next! ☀️🌟
